Punjab Primary and Secondary Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan has directed all the chief executive officers of the district health authorities to clear all payments of procurements, including of medicines purchase, by June 20.
He directed that efficient use of funds of development schemes must be ensured in transparent way and the officers should personally supervise the construction work for timely completion of the schemes.
He sated this while presiding over a meeting of CEOs of all the district health authorities in Punjab in a local hotel on Sunday, according to a handout issued here.
Secretary Ali Jan Khan said the CEOs should fully cooperate to ensure handover of the basic health units of PRSP to PHFMC by July 1 July according to the timeline.
He also directed the officers to conduct effective indoor and outdoor dengue surveillance. He made it clear that responsibility of negligence would be fixed in the light of report of the inquiry committee headed by Prof Faisal Masood in control of chickenpox and action would be taken against the responsible.
He directed that timely reporting of drug samples by all DTLs must be ensured. He warned that no delay in DTLs report would be acceptable. The health secretary said that special attention should be paid to improve the routine immunisation coverage under EPI programme. Ali Jan Khan stressed the need for regular supervision for speeding up revamping of the DHQ and THQ hospitals.
