Goods were reduced to ashes when an inferno engulfed four shops in the basement of a plaza at Barkat Market in the Garden Town area on Tuesday. The cause of the fire was stated to be a short-circuit in the basement of a plaza which caused a huge damage to four shops, including juice and food shops. Firefighters rushed extinguished the fire after hectic efforts. No casualty was reported.
