Indian army tests Brahmos cruise missile

NEW DELHI: India on Wednesday tested what local media said advanced version of its 'Brahmos' cruise missile.

According to reports, the surface-to-surface cruise missile was launched from a mobile autonomous launcher (MAL) in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The reports said the test was successful as the "test flight met all parameters" and the missile hit its target with accuracy

They said the missile hit its target accurately.

“The formidable missile system proved its mettle as it hit the land-based target with desired precision in a top attack configuration,”an Indian newspapers quoted a defence official as saying.
