Students of Rangers schools honoured

LAHORE

An impressive performance award ceremony was held at Pakistan Rangers Punjab Headquarters to honour the students of Rangers Public Schools who attained distinctive positions in exams.

The parents and teachers of the students were also present.

The Pakistan Rangers Punjab director general awarded prizes to the top position holders in board exams, Hamza Ahmed, Muhammad Saad Jamil, Isbah Arshad, Muhammad Haris Ijaz, Aqsa Iqbal, Hamza Shiab Yar and Maryam Waseem. Best teacher and best principal were also awarded prizes. Rangers Public Schools of Lahore and Pasrur were declared the best Matric and middle level institutions out of 24 Rangers Schools in entire Punjab and were awarded with trophies.

The director general said that the students from Rangers Public Schools were not only pride of their respective institutions but were also bringing laurels to the country. He said prayed for their bright future.

Punjab Rangers is endeavoring to provide quality educational facilities in remote border areas to Rangers and local children alike in Rangers Public Schools.

Boy Scouts: The launching ceremony of electronic version of the monthly newsletter regarding the activities of Boy Scouts Association, Punjab, was held at Civil Secretariat, Lahore.

Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Shamail Ahmad Khawaja, provincial commissioner of Boy Scouts Association, Punjab, presided over the ceremony and launched the e-newsletter.

He appreciated the completion of the project without any government expenditure by the boy scouts and said that the spirit to work hard for the benefit of the people in distress was praiseworthy.

Shamail Ahmad Khawaja expressed his determination to transform Boy Scouts Association, Punjab, into a vibrant organisation which would contribute to traffic management, crisis management, creating civic sense and hygienic atmosphere in society with a great spirit of volunteerism.

He gave away commendatory letters and shields to the editorial board comprising eight boy scouts.

Boy Scouts Association Punjab acting Secretary Muhammad Tariq Qureshi and Assistant Circuit Organiser Abdullah Jehanzeb were also present.

Anti-smuggling drive: The anti-smuggling organisation, M C C Preventive Lahore, has accelerated anti-smuggling activities following the directions of the chief collector central and collector, M C C Preventive Lahore.

In March, 2017, fire crackers, cigarettes, LED TVs, curtain cloth, juice, CTP printing plates, tyres, vehicles, electric motors were seized in 22 cases by the organisation. The seized items were worth Rs 38.65 million.
