Two brothers, passerby shot dead

LAHORE

Three persons, including two brothers, were killed by six bike riders in the limits of Tibbi City police station on Saturday morning.

The victims were identified as Mohammad Ayub, Mohammad Shakoor and Hafiz Ashiq while the injured man was identified as Amir. Ayub, Shakoor, Farooq Ahmad and Mohammad Yaseen, sons of Rana Maqbool of Adhiyan Road, Bashir Town, Ferozwala, were on their way to the Sessions Court when their opponents, Malik Naeem, Malik Adeel, Malik Nadim, sons of Malik Sardar, along with accomplices Sajid and Majid, sons of Raoof, and Vicky, approached them in front of Lady Willingdon Hospital and opened firing on them, as a result two brothers, a passerby identified as Hafiz Ashiq, and a cart vendor Amir, sustained wounds.

By the time police and rescuers reached the crime scene, two brothers and the passerby had died.

The assailants fled the scene. The injured cart vendor Amir was admitted to a local hospital where his condition was also said to be critical.
