4 schoolgirls injured

Four schoolgirls were injured when the rifle of a security guard went off accidentally at their school in Jandar Banda area here on Saturday.
The police said the security guard of the Tehzeeb Children Academy, Niaz Muhammad, was overhauling his gun at the ground when it went off, injuring four girls. The injured girls were rushed to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital immediately. Dr Naeem Awan, medical superintendent of the hospital told reporters that the four injured students were taken to hospital and one of them, said to be serious, was referred to a hospital in Abbottabad.
“Hadeesa, Iqra, Hussan Jahan, students of grade-3, and Haleema, of grade-4, were brought to hospital,” he said, adding, Haleema was referred to Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad. He said that Haleema had received a bullet near one of her eyes.
