Provincial Minister for Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education Kh Salman Rafique presided over a meeting to review the arrangements for providing medical cover facilities to the people on the occasion of final match of Pakistan Super League.
According to a handout issued here on Thursday, the meeting was informed that Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has set up a temporary six-bed hospital at a local hotel while Lahore General Hospital will establish 25-bed hospital at Hokey Stadium on Friday.Moreover, cardiac ambulance of Punjab Institute of Cardiology equipped with necessary equipment will remain present in Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday. Kh Salman Rafique directed that presence of doctors, nurses and paramedics should be ensured in both the temporary hospitals according to SOPs and all life saving drugs should be available. He directed Director Institute of Blood Transfusion to arrange blood bags of blood groups according to the list provided by District Officer Health, Lahore.
Secretary Specialised Healthcare Najam Ahmed Shah, Special Secretary Dr Sajid Chohan, Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Sardar Fakhar Imam, MS Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Dr Nouman Matloob, Post Graduate Medical Institute/LGH Principal Prof Dr Ghayas-un-Nabi Tayyab, Punjab Institute of Cardiology Chief Executive Prof Nadeem Hayat Malik, District Health Authority, Lahore Chief Executive Officer Dr Zulfiqar Ali and other officers were present on the occasion.
Seminar: Punjab University College of Art and Design on Thursday organised a seminar on 'A missing Dimension in Design.'
NCA Design Department former head Professor Mahmood Ul Hasan Jafri was the keynote speaker. Dr Ahmad Bilal chaired the session. Prof Asrar H Chishti, Prof Arif Khan, Farjood Rizvi, Rabia Nawab, Dr Sumera, LCWU’s Aisha Ahmad and Zamania from COMSATS also participated in the seminar.
The activity was designed by the students of MPhil (Replica) and almost 150 students attended the session.
