PUNJAB Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that the political forces should address the prevailing issues through dialogue and unity in our ranks is the need of the hour.
Talking to the media after inaugurating a water filtration plant at Mayo Hospital on Monday, the governor said current circumstances demanded political leadership to think beyond their personal interests and take all decisions suitable to the national interest.
He said terrorists had no religion and the entire nation like our armed forces was rendering sacrifices in this combat. He said Pakistani nation would emerge victorious in this war and eliminate terror from the country.
He said the government was committed to defeat terror and provide all basic necessities of life such as clean drinking water to the population. He said it was his priority to ensure proper provision of clean drinking water to people.
This is noteworthy that Governor, who has also been a former British Parliamentarian, since assuming the office of Punjab Governor in August 2013, has inaugurated water filtration plants in Yateem Khana building situated near Multan Road, Data Darbar Complex, Governor House and 50 other parts of the province.
According to the Governor House officials, around 100 more filtration plants, funded by philanthropists are likely to be installed in different districts in the coming months by Chaudhry Sarwar.
