LONDON: Wife of boxer Amir Khan came up with fresh allegations against her in-laws when she claimed in a recent TV interview that her in-laws made fun of her looks by alleging that she had gone through plastic surgery and taunted her by referring to her as 'Michael Jackson'.

In her latest interview on Thursday, Faryal claimed that Amir Khan's family made plastic surgery jibes at her and stated that the feud began before her marriage to the boxer. She alleged that Amir's brother Haroon Khan referred to her as Michael Jackson three years ago and that her in-laws went on rants against her on Twitter and Instagram.

"Being so young and getting married into a very big family and then having to hear in the media about Amir in the beginning, I had a rough time reading that. I was pregnant and I had my in laws; it was just a mess," she said.

Over the years Amir’s brother and sister went on Twitter rants, went on Instagram rants talking about me saying I don’t get along with them, saying I'm very fake, saying I've done plastic surgery, calling me Michael Jackson – I was a pregnant woman; reading all that was not really nice," she added.

Haroon Khan's tweets from three years ago emerged a couple of days earlier, ever since the feud between the family broke out. The tweets seem to reference his sister-in-law Faryal, just as she claimed.

Faryal also claimed that the feud began with the family when she was stopped from visiting Amir a few months before their marriage. Faryal had wanted to surprise Amir with a visit while he was staying in Dubai but the boxer's family did not permit him to meet her.

"I remember Amir’s mum and dad saying that “she's ruined our family holiday and we’re going to take you back the next day," she said. "Amir had to fly back out to the UK the next day, he was not allowed to see me, and that’s when I knew, you know what if I'm not getting accepted being Amir's fiancé, I'm not sure how easy it will be to be accepted being his wife," she said.

Faryal stated that she would still try to reconcile with the boxer's family as she had always tried but stated that she did not know how that was possible, keeping in mind that three years of marriage did not help her get along with the family.

"It would be nice for them to eventually get on with us. I always tried and I'll keep trying but I don't know how possible that is - especially being in marriage for three years and not having great communication," she said.

Amir Khan's father, Sajjad Khan also spoke out against Faryal in his latest interview with Daily Mail and claimed that she was 'an evil woman'.
