Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to take up the issue of Justice (r) Amir Raza’s appointment as head of the committee to probe issue related with news against national security with Punjab Assembly.

The Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood-ul-Rasheed submitted a resolution in Punjab Assembly stating that Justice Amir (r) was appointed Chairman of the Health Commission. Citing a media report, Mian Mehmood-ul-Rasheed submitted that Dr Nausheen Raza, daughter of Justice (r) Amir Raza is serving as Vice-Principal in Sharif Medical Complex.

Besides, Mian Mehmood-ul-Rasheed also submitted that the PML-N suggested the name of Amir Raza as caretaker chief minister of Punjab in 2013 which indicates that he had an association with the ruling party.

The Opposition leader demanded immediate removal of Justice (r) Amir Raza from the probe committee and called for appointment of a neutral person. Moreover, in a statement issued on Tuesday, former governor of Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said those who wanted to cover and protect corruption were creating hindrances in the investigation of Panama Leaks case in the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court has full Constitutional power of creating a commission and Supreme Court has already made commissions in the past, he said.

People want the eradication of corruption and legal war against corruption and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is fighting the case of the people, he added.

Sarwar said PTI was the only party in country fighting war against corruption but some people were trying to making Panama Leaks investigation controversial in the Supreme Court, but they would not succeed.
