Man jumps to death during police raid

LAHORE

A 40-year-old alleged gambler died when he jumped from the rooftop of a house to avoid arrest during a police raid in the limits of Sabzazar Police Station on Tuesday.

Police shifted the body of victim Muhammad Amin to morgue for autopsy. Police raided a house where people were allegedly playing gambling. As a result of the raid, accused Amin jumped from the rooftop of the house and died on the spot. Police claimed Amin was a drugs addict.

BODies FOUND: A 70-year-old man was found dead in Bhatti Gate Police Limits. Police shifted the body to the city morgue for autopsy. Police said the victim was a drugs addict. Meanwhile, A 45-year-old man was found dead in Lorry Adda Police jurisdiction. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Rafique, son of M Shafiqe.

Meanwhile, A 60-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Chung Police Station. Police removed the body to morgue for autopsy. Police said the victim yet to be identified took some poisoned food as a result he fell unconscious near Jinnah Terminal. Rescue 1122 shifted him to Jinnah Hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
