Prince William shows solidarity communities hit by flooding

Prince William on Thursday stepped out to express solidarity with people affected by flooding in Wales and England.

William spent the day in farming areas as he highlighted some of the ideas being put into practice to tackle the harmful effects of extreme weather events.

The Prince of Wales William started the day in Skenfrith, a small village in south-east Wales , an area regularly hit with severe flooding, most notably in November 2025 when Storm Claudia caused significant disruption.

The future king met key decision-makers, including from the environmental body Natural Resources Wales, the Welsh Government and the local authorities, which are responsible for delivering on the recommendations of a recent inquiry to make the area better prepared and more robust in the face of sudden weather events.

William then stepped out to meet with residents to hear from them about the impact flooding has had on their lives, and the challenges the community faces, particularly with winter looming.
