Bella Hadid, Reese Witherspoon support Cornwell University assault victim

Bella Hadid and Reese Witherspoon have appeared to be one of the top celebrities who have voiced their support for the victim of the alleged gang rape at the Cornwell University fraternity house.

Although the two women have not spoken publicly about the case, they have engaged with social media posts seeking justice for the victim.

Bella Hadid on Tuesday took to her Instagram Story to share a screenshot of The Cornwell Daily Sun article from the Editorial Board that said, “We reuse for this victim to be reduced to just another story. Cornwell has failed to protect is students."

Reese Witherspoon was prominent among thousands of people to Like the Instagram post shared on the issue by the Joyful Heart Foundation, an NGO that supports the survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.

Meanwhile, New York state prosecutors have reopened an investigation into an alleged 2024 gang rape at a Cornell University fraternity house, a district attorney confirmed on Monday, after a civil lawsuit filed this month by the alleged victim sparked renewed outrage.

In a lengthy statement, Tompkins County District Attorney ‌Matthew Van Houten confirmed that his office would present the case against seven alleged perpetrators to a grand jury for a possible indictment.
