Lili Reinhart, Rachel Marsh get candid about joining ‘The Love Hypothesis’

Lili Reinhart shares how The Love Hypothesis won her over.

The upcoming rom-com, starred Lili as Olive Smith who is a lead actress while Rachel portrayed Olive's friend. Notably, the movie is based on Ali Hazelwood's bestselling novel.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, the lead actress revealed how the original novel made her fall in love with the story.

“I really fell in love with the book and I fell in love with the characters,” Lili added.

She went on to say, “and the fact that the whole plot stems from two best friends who love each other that much, that really sold me. But I really fell in love with Ali’s book.”

Adding, “We obviously both, for a reason, fell in love with these women on the page first.”

“And so they were already written so beautifully and their friendship was such a beautiful thing to latch onto. I just felt lucky that we got to play them,” she further added.

While Rachel admitted, “I don’t really read a lot of romance novels, but now I do,” she continued, “Now, it’s my genre.”

However the official synopsis of the upcoming romantic comedy read, “when their arrangement begins to blur the lines between performance and reality, Olive is forced to test her most daunting hypothesis yet.”

“that love might actually be worth the risk,” it further teased.

The love hypothesis is set to be streamed globally on Prime Video on September 23, 2026.
