Katy Perry’s daughter turns backstage into an art studio
Katy Perry revealed her daughter's backstage secret.
In an interview with People Magazine, Katy opened up about her last year's Lifetimes Tour.
The singer revealed how her 6-year-old daughter, Daisy has become her constant companion during her tour, “When she’s on the road, she comes out for half the show or a little bit less than half the show. She dances, she does the circle. She’s my road dog, and she’s moving with me, so she’s really gaining this adaptability of being able to be malleable in different environments and situations, so I think that’s a value.”
Adding, “She loves the dancers, and she’s my co-pilot.”
Katy further gave a glimpse into her daughter’s adorable backstage routine, saying, “She has her own road case that she got made for her by one of the crew, and it has glitter pens, it has stickers, it has everything — and so, she comes backstage, she opens it up, and she crafts, and she’s coloring. And she was coloring so much that actually we started framing each picture that she would make.”
She went on to say, “Every day I’d come into the room, and my girls helped set up backstage. They would frame the previous day’s picture, and it was cozy and amazing.”
“She’s seeing her mother in her purpose, and that’s good for her; she sees her mom being strong,” the pop star reflected.
