Elliot Page reveals how 'The Odyssey' changed his acting journey
The 'Umbrella' star opens up about 'full-circle' moment in his career
After having a full circle moment at Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, Elliot Page is all set to for another big-screen role.
The 39-year-old actor made a recent appearance on the On Film… With Kevin McCarthy podcast and talked about how over the past years he felt uncomfortable while acting, but on Nolan's set he has grown out of that feeling.
When the host asked Page if he’s “getting a zillion calls after this movie," the Umbrella star responded with a smile, “No, Kevin, I’m not. So, if someone wants to call me … ”
It is pertinent to mention that Page has previously worked with Nolan in Inception, which Page said he “had such a great time” filming the 2010 sci-fi hit, but he “was also personally really uncomfortable.”
Now, the Oscar-nominated actor has reached a place where he no longer feels the discomfort from acting.“I don’t have to deal with that when I’m acting. I feel like I could maybe do some of my best work now," Page confessed.
Further sharing about his experience on The Odyssey's set, he noted, “Walking onto a Chris set this time, versus [before], in the ways of, like, it being cathartic…"
With tears rolling down n his face, Page added, "When I wrapped on The Odyssey, I had a moment. There was a full-circle moment.”
“Knowing yourself more and embodying yourself more, weirdly, lets you let go more,” Page concluded.
