Meghan Markle and Prince Harry wanted to leave California surrounded by 'real friends'
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were left embarrassing by their ‘real friends’ in Montecito ahead of their return to Britain.
The insiders have claimed this to royal expert Rob Shuter days after the California-based royal couple moved back to UK for an extended period.
In his latest piece for Naughty But Nice substack, Rob claimed Harry and his wife Meghan planned to leave California with one final A-list bash — until sources say their celebrity friends were suddenly unavailable.
They wanted to thank the famous faces who helped them establish their American life, including Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, David Foster and Kris Jenner.
However, Meghan and Harry were left embarrassing.
“They started quietly feeling people out, and the response was basically crickets,” the insider tells the expert, adding “They imagined this emotional send-off surrounded by the people who welcomed them to America. Instead, everyone was busy. It was embarrassing.”
The source continued, “These weren’t supposed to be Hollywood acquaintances. These were supposed to be real friends.
“Tyler gave them extraordinary support when they arrived. Oprah gave them a global platform. Harry and Meghan genuinely believed they had built an American family.”
Meghan and Harry wanted to leave California surrounded by friends, the source said, however, “Instead, they simply left.”
Meghan and Harry moved to UK last week with their children Archie and Lilibet.
