Kelly Clarkson bids farewell to 'Kellyoke' era with 'Golden' performance

Kelly Clarkson has finally said goodbye to her talk show on Monday after The Kelly Clarkson Show’s 7-season run.

And with the final episode, the “Kellyoke” era has also ended, but Kelly took the “Golden” opportunity to make her last music session more special.

She performed “the most requested cover song EVER,” as per their social media. They featured the segment as “Kelly by Request,” a small concert featuring storytelling and fan-requested songs from her catalog.

And Kelly concluded her performance with her Oscar-winning hit song from KPop Demon Hunters, Golden.”

“That is a very high song,” Kelly said of the hit song, adding, “I was like, ‘Go for it.’ ”

The showrunner Alex Duda spilled the secret ingredient behind the awrd winning day time talk show.

She told People the secret is none other than Kelly’s talent of “connecting” with people.

Alex also noted that the final episode was made for the audience. “For seven years, we listened to them like, ‘What songs did you want to hear and what moments did you want to see again?’ So it seemed like the right thing to do was to do a whole show that was by request.”

Kelly's decision to exit the show came after the death of her ex husband Brandon Blacktone last year, noting that she wanted to focus on her kids, River Rose, 12 and Remington Alexander, 10, whom she shares with Brandon.

River and Remington also made a special appearance on the finale show.

Kelly concluded the last episode with her catchphrase, saying, “Have a great day. And if it’s not, change it!”
