Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal on a permanent deal
Barcelona reached a preliminary agreement with Arsenal to sign Gabriel Jesus for £8.6m (€10m)-a move where all sides are now finalizing the details as the transfer is in the final stages.
This deal for the Brazil international indicates that negotiations have progressed significantly, while the finer details still require finishing touches, the transfer is expected to be completed before Tuesday’s deadline.
Napoli had demonstrated curiosity in Jesus, but 29-year-old is set to join last season’s league champions and will travel for medical assistance on Monday.
Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 with incredible scoring 32 goals and adding 22 assists in 123 appearances for the Gunners. Jesus while leaving said: “Personal situations, whatever they are, I think it’s clear.”
Jesus would be Barcelona's latest signing from a Premier League club after the earlier arrivals of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle and Rodri from Manchester City.
The move comes at a favorable time for both parties. Jesus had a waning influence in recent months at the Gunners.
With his contract in London expiring next year, the Premier League club was open to a deal in the concluding stages of the transfer window to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
