Crystal Palace refuse £50m Liverpool offer for Ismaila Sarr

Crystal Palace have rejected a £50 million bid from Liverpool for winger Ismaila Sarr as the Reds look to strengthen their attack before the transfer window closes.

According to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are searching for a new right winger following Mohamed Salah's departure and have turned their attention to Sarr after missing out on several other targets.

Yan Diomande had reportedly been Liverpool's preferred option before joining Real Madrid as the club has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain's Ibrahim Mbaye and Brighton's Yankuba Minteh.

Palace, however, are reportedly determined to keep Sarr and have already rejected two approaches from Galatasaray.

The 28-year-old has three years remaining on his contract, leaving Palace in a strong position to resist Liverpool's interest.

Sarr played a major role in Palace's Europa Conference League triumph last season, scoring nine goals and finishing as the competition's top scorer and was also named its best player.

He offers significant Premier League experience along with pace and attacking versatility, making him an attractive option for Liverpool.

Palace's reluctance to sell could now force Liverpool to consider alternative targets.

Liverpool could also reportedly keep Cody Gakpo despite interest from Manchester City and Tottenham, with a sale dependent on the club signing two new wingers.
