Dennis Quaid draws 'fantastic' comparison between Los Angeles and Tennessee environments

Dennis Quaid recently opened up about the changes he felt in Los Angeles after leaving it six years ago.

In 2020, the 72-year-old American actor relocated to Nashville along with his wife, Laura Savoie, leaving behind glamorous life in Los Angeles.

Reflecting on his decision in a talk with PEOPLE magazine to promote his new project Water Wars, Quaid admitted that his life seems calmer and more relaxed in Tennessee.

He told the outlet, “Basically I play golf. I love to be around the house here. You get a lot of land and space, but you’re still in an urban environment.”

“I’ve made some really good friends here to spend time with. It’s important and a great place to raise a family,” The Substance star quipped.

Nashville makes Quaid feel like home because it gives a totally different sense of connection.

The War Machine actor used to consider Los Angeles “fantastic,” but the drastic change it underwent over the years forced him to relocate.

Dennis Quaid stated that Los Angees “was such a great community when I lived there.”

It is pertinent to mention that the forthcoming documentary Water Wars is about high-stakes legal battle over water rights in Texas, pitting ranchers and farmers against some of the state’s wealthiest landowners.

Water Wars is scheduled to be released on Prime Video on September 4, 2026
