Could Prince Harry's return strain ties between Prince William and King Charles?

Prince Harry's decision to move back to the UK could create new tension between his brother, Prince William, and their father, King Charles.

Royal commentator Tom Sykes has explained in a recent exchange with Page Six how Prince Harry's return puts Prince William in a difficult position.

“It’s going to represent huge challenges for William,” the royal reporter began, saying continuing to avoid contact with his brother may no longer be realistic or "sustainable."

Sykes pointed out that upcoming royal events, such as holiday gatherings or public appearances, could become complicated if King Charles chooses to include Prince Harry in them.

“William is gonna have to figure out how he is going to respond to this,” the journalist noted.

Sykes also speculated that Prince Harry might use this opportunity to seek his father's public support for the Invictus Games, an international sporting event Harry created for wounded and ill military members, which has reportedly struggled with fundraising.

He suggested that renewed closeness between the father-son duo could help attract new sponsors to the event.

While this situation could benefit Prince Harry, it may create challenges for the King, especially given how divided public opinion remains about Prince Harry and Meghan.

Prince Harry and Meghan, along with their two children, are expected to relocate to the UK for an extended stay later this month, reportedly settling into a private, non-royal residence in the countryside near King Charles' Highgrove estate.

Sources say the move is intended to help their children be close with royal family members, especially given King Charles' ongoing health battle with cancer.
