'Tangled' star Kathryn Hahn breaks silence on the upcoming live-action

Kathryn Hahn has unveiled her experience in the live-action Tangled.

Kathryn Hahn is set to play the character of Mother Gothel in the Disney’s upcoming live-action Tangled. Moreover, the actress will showcase her dancing and singing talent in the respective movie.

Previously, the Emmy-nominated actress had portrayed a character of a formidable witch, Agatha Harkness in Marvel’s WandaVision, in which she performed vocals on two songs Agatha All Along, and The Ballad of the Witches’ Road.

In an interview with People Magazine, Kathryn revealed that she never considered singing a part of her career before Agatha, saying, “I don’t know if I’d say that, but I definitely, I’m really good at karaoke.”

“I’ve never really sung professionally in anything before Agatha, which was a treat. So this is a big next step for me,” she added.

When the outlet questioned about her experience in a musical film, the star explained that it just felt like stepping into the legendary musical classic, Fame. “I’m just telling people that it feels like I’m in Fame right now. I’m rehearsing in Spain.”

Adding, “They’re shooting and I’ve been rehearsing. I’ve been singing and dancing. It’s so fun. Never thought at this stage in the game that that’s what I would do.”

Reflecting on her role in Tangled she said, “She’s such a fabulous part, Mother Gothel.”

Noting, “It’s all things I never thought I would be able to say I did in my life.”

It is pertinent to mention that the upcoming live-action Disney film will hit theaters on March 31, 2028.
