King Charles’s son takes a stand against family

There are a slew of questions, queries, and even concerns being flung in the direction of King Charles and Prince Harry’s reconciliation efforts and much of it has come from the heir apparent, not just other members.

For those unversed, the heir to the throne of England is currently at a loss. Unable to shut down the talks, but also simultaneously worrying about the impact it may have on the cancer-stricken monarch.

The entire thing, including his rumored anguish over not being able to do more comes from royal commentator Emily Ferguson’s piece for The Daily Express.

She explains that most of Prince William’s emotions stem from a deeply rooted desire to protect the Firm and its people, and to ring the point home she expressed it by saying, “as a deeply loyal and protective man, [William] doesn’t want his family to go through any more hurt at the hands of Harry.”

But there is a fear, not just in the heir’s eyes because Ms Ferguson explained, “you can bet that if the King decides it’s best to keep meetings with Harry private, the Sussex machine will spin it as a snub.”

It is in lieu of this very fact that she went as far as to say, “so this will be a tricky path for the King to walk down; does he follow his heart or his head? The good news is that there’s still just under a year to go until the Invictus Games arrive in Birmingham.”
