Earl Spencer claimed he knows “lots of things about the King”
Outspoken journalist Piers Morgan has expressed his views over Princess Diana’s brother Earl Spencer’s latest interview.
In his interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Earl Spencer tells Mark Phillips he is ‘just an eyewitness to history.’
Diana’s brother said, “I don’t hold resentments.”
Spencer told Mark Phillips of his feelings regarding the royal family, saying “I’m not a vengeful, resentful person. I’m just an eyewitness to history.”
Commenting on Earl Spencer remarks, Piers Morgan tweeted, “He says, having waited 30 years to launch a vengeful resentful attack on King Charles.”
Moreover, Spencer appeared to make a veiled threat to King Charles by claiming he knows “lots of things about the King” but chose not to put them in his bombshell new memoir.
He is due to release his controversial book, called Swan Song: Diana, My Sistertomorrow, nearly 30 years after his sister Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris.
Prince William and Harry’s uncle has made a series of claims about their father King Charles in a new memoir, including the allegation that he said “we’ll forget her soon enough” in the days after Diana's death.
It prompted a strong response from Palace, which said, “the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason”.
