Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) will organise Azadi Mushaira on August 12 in connection with Independence Day celebrations.
PAL Chairman Professor Dr. Muhammad Qasim Bughio told APP on Wednesday that a lecture would also be arranged to highlight the sacrifices rendered by our elders for the independence of the country.
He said that lecture would be given on the role of writers in Independence of Pakistan and discussion on role of writers in the progress of Pakistan. Professor Dr. Qasim said that academy is making efforts to encourage young writers and scholars adding that youth can play a vital role in the progress and prosperity of the country. He said that the young writers and poets would be invited in Azadi Mushaira. He said that the literary personalities have also played very important role in the creation of Pakistan adding that their services would be remembered for long. He said that PAL would also arranged training workshops starting from August 10.
