Cristiano Ronaldo was on target as Al-Nassr moved five points clear at the Saudi Pro League summit with a 2-0 victory
Al-Nassr defeated Al-Okhdood 2-0, moving five points clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League standings. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 15th minute.
The intriguing game concluded with Joao Felix securing the win by volleying home a rebound in the second half. Meanwhile, the victory marked a new club record of 13 consecutive league wins and equaled a club record of eight straight away wins. Al-Nasr has now won all six of its first six league meetings against Al-Okhdood-a feat they have only otherwise achieved against Al-Shoalah.
Ronaldo broke the deadlock in the 15th minute, strolling onto Nawaf Boushal’s lay-off and firing home with an unstoppable low effort. Al nassr were unable to add to their lead immediately, despite continuing to dominate the match. Ronaldo fired narrowly off target before being replaced in the 81st minute; by then, the two-goal cushion was more than enough to guarantee further victory.
In line with Jorge Jesus’ milestone, the manager maintained a perfect 100% win record against Al-Okhdood. Notably, his teams have never conceded a goal against them in the competition. Earlier, Al-Nassr had a goal by Mohamed Simakan disallowed for handball and saw several close efforts from Kingley Coman and Ronaldo throughout the match.
