Zendaya reveals if she or Tom Holland is the better cook

Zendaya and Tom Holland never miss out on a good cook-off in the kitchen, but the burning question everyone has for America’s sweetheart couple is that “Who is the better cook?”

In a PEOPLE-exclusive clip form the episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, Zendaya, amid rapid-fire questions, weighed in on the culinary treats her fiancé, Tom makes for her.

“It’s really cute,” The Drama star (in theaters Friday, April 3) told host Hudson.

Zendaya explained how Tom’s brother Sam, a professional chef, “came out with a cookbook recently. And it's really sweet because Tom will whip it out and he'll be like, ‘Okay, I'm going to find all the vegetarian things and I'm going to try different recipes from my brother for you to try.’”

The 29-year-old has also been vocal about her being a vegetarian since the age of 11 and Tom, revealed back in December 2024 that he has prepared multiple vegetarian meals for his then-girlfriend while she was busy filming.

Speaking to Hudson, Zendaya then made a shocking confession. “He's actually, probably — I mean, now he'll know that I'm admitting this — the better cook,” she said funnily and reluctantly.

“I try my best,” added the Dune star. “My spicy vodka pasta is very good. I got a few things that I can do that I like, you know, I stick with that. But,” she said, mock-coughing to hide the truth, “I think he might be better at it than me.”

And of course, “to be fair,” her frequent co-star “can call his brother at any time,” she added, something that Zendaya could do too, Hudson pointed out.

Last August, Tom Holland’s brother, Sam Holland, told The Times that the Spider-Man actor was actually making vegetarian recipes for his soon-to-be sister-in-law.

“I sent those recipes Tom’s way as he was on dinner duty while she was making a movie in Boston,” the chef and author said.

Sam mentioned how Tom started getting into cooking and said, “He went through them one by one and really enjoyed them.”
