Rob Reiner’s children have won a legal battle against their sibling Nick Reiner.
An insider told Radar Online that the late American filmmaker and actor’s children, Jake, Romy, and Tracy, have been declared legal heirs to their late father’s money by a California judge. While Nick does not have any share in Rob’s wealth after he was arrested on suspicion of his parents’ murder.
Rob and his wife Michele Reiner were stabbed to death at their residence in Los Angeles on December 14, 2025. Police took Nick into custody on the same day, facing two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances, but he pleaded not guilty to the charges. The 32-year-old is still in police custody without bail.
The source told the outlet, “Nick's family couldn't be more thrilled their parents' cash won't be used to help him beat the charges for this horrific crime.”
“Almost everyone in the Reiner family has completely washed their hands of him after the heinous murders they're convinced he committed,” the insider claimed.
Notably, Nick not only struggled with mental health issues and spent a year in mental health conservatorship; he had battled cocaine and heroin addictions.
It is pertinent to mention that Nick Reiner’s next court hearing is scheduled for September 15, 2026.
