But the way a section of his supporters expresses their support for the gold legend is seemingly uncommon, to say the least.

Several die-hard fans recently appeared at the Texas Children's Houston Open in white T-shirts bearing a bold message that screams #FreeTiger.

However, on the T-shirts, an unsavoury photo of Woods has been stamped: his recent, infamous mugshot.

The bizarre fashion statement caught the attention away from the tournament for a while, according to TMZ, turning the third round of the golf tournament into a spectacle for viewers.

The controversial tee display comes only a day after Wood's arrest in Jupiter, Florida.

According to multiple reports, he was driving at an alarming speed; he probably lost control and hit the back of a pickup truck towing a trailer.

But the legal drama exploded when the golf icon reportedly refused to cooperate with the cops.

He reportedly refused to give a urine sample when the authorities wanted to confirm whether he was driving under the influence, and also reportedly failed a field sobriety test.
