Critics of Meghan Markle wrote her off, claiming her glittering life after her exit from the palace is losing its shine.
Particularly, her eye-splashing deals with Netflix and Spotify are reportedly crumbling, naysayers say.
They pointed to comments by Spotify executive Bill Simmons, allegedly calling the Sussexes "grifters."
Moreover, an earlier report in Variety claimed Netflix is "exhausted" with them because of the "perceived pattern of selling repackaged versions of the same story about their exit from royal life".
In addition, United Talent Agency CEO Jeremy Zimmer, back in 2023, also took a dig at Markle, stating, "Turns out Meghan Markle was not a great audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent. Just because you're famous doesn't make you great at something."
Recently, the Suits actress came under fire again after her trip to Australia, during which an event asked fans to donate £1,439 to attend.
Eric Roberts, who starred with Markle in Suits, says, "She will come back."
His wife, Eliza, also told Daily Mail, "It is time. And Meghan needs to come back to work. I feel like her whole family will support it, and she is amazing."
"It is tricky because of the monarchy. Her role in Suits was very sexy," she continued. "Her making love with another man, that was just – they've never seen anything like that."
"She worked so hard to get there. That was just too much. Women don't give up their jobs for a marriage anymore."
"I understand the intention, and she thought she'd be satisfied with doing good works in the world. But she needs to be acting. She is a young woman who needs to be acting," Eliza concluded.
