Attending the 2026 BAFTAs alongside his wife Kate Middleton, William fulfilled his duties as BAFTA president, presenting the prestigious BAFTA fellowship.

However, in a brief conversation about the film Hamnet, William admitted he hadn't watched it yet, with his response revealing the strain he is under.

The Prince of Wales said, "I need to be in quite a calm state," adding, "and I am not at the moment."

The arrest of Andrew on suspicion of misconduct in public office has reportedly created an unprecedented wave of scrutiny from media and within the royal family. Prince William's remark highlighted the human side behind royal tradition and protocol.

It is pertinent to mention that insiders also revealed to Daily Mail that Prince William and Kate Middleton both are concerned about King Charles health. "Obviously William is not feeling calm and he would have spoken on behalf of them both," an insider stated.

Adding, "It’s a terrible situation and they are very concerned about the health of the King and the impact this will be having on him. He is exhausted and it's draining for him."

As per source the Prince of Wales may have "let this slip out last during a conversation and he would have done that on purpose," but the Princess of Wales remained "quiet."
