Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Ferguson are "miserable" as they face consequences of their links to late paedophile Jeffrey Epsetin.
According to sources who spoke to Us Weekly, the duo are miserable and "misery loves company."
With their reputations damaged beyond repair, the couple know that "there’s no real return to royal life," and are "very much in survival mode."
This insight comes after Andrew was arrested on Feb. 19 on suspicions of misconduct in public office. The arrest came after some leaked emials showed that he shared trade envoy related information with his American pal in 2010 and 2011.
He was released after a free hours of questioning and his properties were also searched.
The source also said that the former couple "have a lot of shared resentment toward the media rather than any deep inward reckoning. Privately, there is regret, but it’s rarely said out loud."
As for Fergie, her emails to Epstein contained requests for money to pay rent, to be hired as his "house manager" and thanked him for financial support. She also mentioned bringing Eugenie and Beatrice to meet him and said that Eugenie was off for a "shagging weekend."
"Fergie’s always been a messy royal, but a lot of that was fun, sexy, unfiltered or just plain stupid," royal expert Kristen Meinzer told the outlet. "It never involved her daughters. This feels different."
