Netflix employees are reportedly taking home free products from Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, after excess inventory was left at the streamer’s Los Angeles offices.
According to sources, two storage rooms at Netflix’s Hollywood campus, including the Icon tower and Epic building, contain As Ever items such as jam, candles, wine, and flower petal sprinkles.
Staffers have been allowed to take the products home, with one source claiming employees were seen leaving with multiple items.
“There’s so much overstock,” one insider said, adding that the products are being distributed internally rather than sold.
A separate source clarified that As Ever’s main inventory was moved to an external warehouse some time ago and is no longer stored at Netflix headquarters. The remaining items on-site are reportedly intended for gifting, sampling, and promotional purposes, which is why employees are being offered freebies.
The reports follow scrutiny last month after a temporary website glitch appeared to reveal large amounts of unsold As Ever inventory. The briefly visible numbers suggested hundreds of thousands of items, including jars of jam, honey, candles, flower sprinkles, and bottles of wine, though the issue was later resolved. Markle’s team denied the brand was struggling.
As Ever products range from $14 jams to $89 bottles of brut sparkling wine, with curated gift sets priced higher. The brand launched in partnership with Netflix after Markle abandoned the original name, American Riviera Orchard, due to trademark issues.
The lifestyle line was promoted through her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, which has not been renewed for a third season following modest viewership, according to Netflix data.
