Conservative influencer Nick Sortor arrested in Portland protest clash

Nick Sortor, a conservative influencer, was arrested on October 2, 2025, following a protest and reported physical altercation outside an immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland, Oregon.

Sortor was one of the three people arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Centre on charges of “Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree.” The other individuals arrested were identified as Angela Davis of Vernonia and Son Mi Yi of Portland.

The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) was monitoring the protest and reported observing multiple physical fights.

PPB Dialogue Officers (DLOs) “observed two men fighting near the ICE building driveway.” The fight ended when “one participant knocked to the ground.” Both involved parties were detained by federal law enforcement and later released, and neither party indicated they wanted to file a police report.

PPB continued to monitor the situation and responded after “seeing additional fights break out.” The Rapid Response Team (RRT) moved in and made three arrests, including Sortor.

Journalist Katie Daviscourt, who was present at the scene, posted on X that Sortor had been “targeted by Antifa shortly before” and that there was a “physical altercation.”

Portland Police Bureau posted on X regarding the arrests: “Police have observed several fights and other criminal behaviour. We will be making targeted arrests. Do not interfere with police action.”

The PPB later added, “We are still monitoring the protest and will make more arrests for criminal activity if necessary.”
