A California woman, who was part of a YouTube survival challenge, was found after an 18-hour rescue mission.

The 36-year-old woman from California went missing in a misty Michigan forest; the identity of the "missing" woman has not yet been disclosed.

She got lost in the Pigeon River Forest in northern Michigan over the weekend.

As per the details available with the Michigan Police, the woman went in search of water, but upon her return to the camp, she got lost in the dense forest and never returned.

When the hosts of the show lost all hope of locating their participant, they ended up calling the cops around 5 am on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

The troopers from the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post started their search in locating the woman who went missing during a "survival challenge".

The Michigan State Police said in a statement on X, “The woman was a contestant in a YouTube survival challenge and had become lost the previous evening but was not reported until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.”

As a result, a search operation was launched, and a helicopter was also sent up to search the densely wooded area.

Finally, at around 10:40 am, the police helicopter located the woman deep inside the forest.

A video on X shared by the department spotlights her waving from beneath the trees as the helicopter circled overhead.

Then came the moment, at around 10:40 a.m., when troopers located the missing woman and directed the canine units to her. The law enforcement officers and firefighters succeeded in escorting the woman out of the woods safely.

However, woman’s identity has not been disclosed so far, and no clue has been traced yet as to who organized that YouTube survival challenge.
