LAHORE: The rapid scientific evolution happening around the world, including AI, have also had a profound impact on the police system in Pakistan. “The success rate can be increased many times by bringing in modern technological skills, including drones, cameras and AI, during police operations,” said DPO Sialkot Faisal Shahzad while speaking as special guest at a session arranged by the National Vision Think Tank (NVTT) on Saturday. "In the next few years, the police system will not be able to function in the same way’’. Like every other profession, he said, the police, too, has to evolve to bring itself to an international level. With regards to a general perception of citizens fearing the police, he said, the police should definitely be feared, but this fear should be on criminals rather than the citizens.
