PKLI team lauded for completing 1,000 kidney transplants

LAHORE:Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Centre (PKLI&RC) has achieved a major milestone by successfully completing 1,000 kidney transplants.

This landmark reflects PKLI&RC’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare services to patients across Pakistan and the region. On this occasion, Prof Dr Saeed Akhtar, Chairman of the Board of Governors, lauded the efforts of the transplant team led by Dr Asad Bashir, Chairman, Kidney Transplant, and the nephrology team under the leadership of Dr Adil Manzoor, Chairman, Nephrology. He emphasised that this success is the result of the collaborative spirit of the entire medical, surgical, and support staff at PKLI.

Prof Dr Faisal Saud Dar, Dean PKLI, also congratulated the teams. It is noteworthy that PKLI&RC has also successfully performed 919 liver transplants and 13 bone marrow transplants to date.
