Speedy justice foremost duty: LHC CJ

The Lahore High Court Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Friday chaired first meeting of working committee constituted to look after the affairs of the court.

Chief Justice observed that the provision of expeditious and speedy justice to the litigants was first and foremost duty.

The meeting discussed case management system, policy making pertaining to administrative matters as well as ways and means for providing expeditious justice to the litigant public.

The committee comprised of senior pusine judge, Justice Shahid Hameed Dar, Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali, Justice Syed Muhammad Kazim Raza Shamsi, Justice Abdul Sami Khan, Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, Justice Atir Mahmood, Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza, Justice Muhammad Tariq Abbasi, Justice Khalid Mahmood Malik and Justice Shahid Mubeen.

Last three committee members could not attend the meeting as they were performing duties on the regional benches of the high court. In place of them, Justice Chaudhry Masood Jahangir, Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi and Justice Erum Sajjad Gull graced the meeting.
