LWMC continues zero-waste operation

LAHORE:The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) continued its mission of maintaining cleanliness across the City.

On the special directions of LWMC CEO, extensive cleanliness operations are being carried out at City’s entry and exit points. Over 5,000 containers were being cleared daily during the morning shift to ensure a clean and healthy environment.

In addition to container clearance, manual sweeping, mechanical scraping, and water sprinkling are actively under way throughout commercial and residential areas. Phase-wise zero-waste operations are also being conducted in residential zones. Special cleaning teams have been deployed at key points, including Babu Sabu, Thokar Niaz Baig, Saggian Bridge, and Ravi Bridge.

LWMC teams were fully mobilised across key roads such as Ferozepur Road, Jail Road, Mall Road, and Gulberg. Furthermore, special cleaning squads are on duty around high-traffic areas, including Data Darbar, Lorry Adda, Azadi Chowk, and the Railway Station, while clearance operations continued at Chauburji, Civil Secretariat, and Baba Ground. CEO Babar Sahib Din stated that providing a clean and healthy environment to the citizens was department's top priority.
