LAHORE:The Head of the British High Commission Lahore Office Ben Warrington visited the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) headquarters on Monday.

The visit signaled a new chapter in United Kingdom-Punjab relations, with both sides keen to explore fresh avenues for investment and bilateral trade. The PBIT management presented a comprehensive overview of the Board’s vision, strategic priorities, and sector-specific opportunities designed to attract UK investors.

Key sectors highlighted included technology, manufacturing, agriculture, and renewable energy - areas identified for their high growth potential and mutual benefit. PBIT Chairman M Muntaha Ashraf led discussions emphasising Punjab’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment, improving regulatory frameworks, and facilitating ease of doing business to attract more UK investments. He expressed optimism about the future of UK-Punjab economic relations, highlighting the critical role of collaborative efforts in achieving shared prosperity. Ben Warrington appreciated the thorough presentation and engaged actively in dialogue about strategic partnerships and potential joint ventures.
