LAHORE:Police arrested an armed individual who attempted to enter the Supreme Court Lahore registry on Friday.
The suspect, linked to a murder case, was apprehended by security personnel and handed over to Old Anarkali Police. SP High Court Adil Aamir praised DSP Supreme Court Registry Mian Absar Ahmed for swift action and announced commendation certificates for the officers involved. Authorities have launched an investigation into the suspect’s motives and how he managed to approach the court with a weapon.
Man held for assaulting, detaining citizen
Iqbal Town police Friday arrested a man for illegally detaining and physically assaulting a citizen on allegations of mobile phone theft. According to SP Dr M Umar, accused Ashfaq Khokhar abducted Naveed, held him at his residence, and subjected him to severe torture. The police have taken the accused into custody.
Two injured in wall collapse incident
Two people, including a two-year-old child, sustained injuries when a partially constructed wall collapsed on them due to strong winds in Green Town area on Friday morning. According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred near Bagrian Chowk, leaving toddler Ibrahim and Javed, 60, injured. Both were promptly shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
