TANK: Unidentified gunmen kidnapped a polio worker from Jamaat Koroona in Tank on Monday.District Police Officer Aslam Nawaz Khan said that polio worker Sifat Khan was administering polio drops to children at T-Chowk in Jamaat Koroona when unidentified armed men came and kidnapped him during his duty. He said kidnappers shifted the anti-polio vaccinator to an unknown location.
The DPO said that following the incident, a heavy contingent of police was rushed to the spot and a search operation was launched in the area to recover the kidnapped polio worker as soon as possible.Polio workers in Upper South Waziristan have also reportedly received threats from unidentified gunmen.
