LAHORE:A newly-married couple was murdered in what police suspect to be an honour killing. Bodies of 22-year old Hassan Saleem and 19-year old ‘A’ were recovered from Sarai Alamgir, shot in the head, according to police sources.

The couple both from Jhelum district had an arranged marriage in Lahore on May 20 and was living in Sundar limits. Shortly after, a kidnapping case was registered at Sundar police station on the complaint of a relative of the girl, while her father also filed a separate kidnapping report at Domeli police station. Police believe the couple was abducted and taken to Sarai Alamgir, where they were killed for 'honour.' Bodies were shifted to JHL morgue.
