Man dies as under-construction house wall collapses

LAHORE:A man died after a wall of an under-construction house collapsed in the Shafiqabad area near Band Road on Sunday.

According to the initial caller, a wall suddenly collapsed at a construction site, trapping a worker underneath. Rescue 1122 emergency vehicles and personnel rushed to the scene after receiving the alert.

Upon arrival, rescue teams found the man buried under the rubble. Despite their rapid response, the victim identified as Ehsan, 30, died on the spot. Rescue officials stated that no other injuries were reported from the site. Body was handed over to the family.

Three held for assaulting cricket match spectators

Gulberg police arrested three members of a gang involved in robbing and assaulting spectators attending cricket matches in the City. The suspects were apprehended during an operation at Center Point Park following a tip-off. According to police officials, the suspects had been targeting match-goers, stealing valuables and instilling fear among the general public.

Man injured as pistol goes off

A 26-year old man was injured in an accidental shooting while cleaning his pistol at home in the Chuhng Sher Shah Chowki area. According to police, the man, identified as Robert, was handling his firearm when it went off, with two bullets striking him in the leg. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors confirmed that his condition is stable and out of danger. Police launched an investigation into the incident, which is being treated as a case of accidental firing.

Body recovered from Ravi

Body of a 17-year old boy was recovered from the Ravi River near the Saggian Toll Plaza on Sunday. Rescue divers reached the site after authorities received a report of a possible drowning incident. Following an extensive search operation, Rescue 1122 diving team successfully retrieved the body from the river. The deceased was identified as Safyan, 17.
