Three children injured in cylinder explosion

LAHORE:A powerful gas cylinder explosion ripped through a house in Ghaziabad leaving three children critically injured and causing extensive structural damage to the house and neighbouring properties.

According to Rescue 1122, the injured include 17-year-old Mubeen, 12-year-old Abdullah, and an eight year old girl, all of whom were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The blast, believed to have occurred due to a gas leak during cooking, triggered panic in the neighbourhood as frightened residents fled their homes. Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos, with shattered glass and collapsed walls strewn across the area.

Rescue teams promptly reached the scene, launched a debris-clearing operation, and safely evacuated residents from nearby homes. Police cordoned off the area to secure the site, while forensic teams began gathering evidence.

Two criminals involved in 110 robberies arrested

Dolphin Squad arrested two gang leaders involved in more than 110 incidents of robbery and street crime within a single locality in Lahore's Shahdara area. According to the Dolphin Squad spokesperson, the arrests were made during an intelligence-based operation carried out near Jhularan Chowk and Band Phatak in Shahdara. The suspects, identified as Haroon and Ehsan, resisted fiercely before being overpowered and taken into custody.

Investigators revealed that the two were masterminds behind a network of criminals involved in armed robberies, snatching, theft, and other serious offences, with over 50 incidents each to their names. Both suspects had a long criminal history and were operating primarily within a targeted zone, making them notorious in the area.

Following the arrests, the suspects were handed over to Shahdara Town Police Station for further legal action. FIRs relating to dacoity, theft, and organised criminal activities had already been lodged against them.
