LAHORE : In a tragic incident, a real son forcefully evicted his mother and took over her house in Shafiqabad.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran directed SHO Shafiqabad to verify the incident and take action against the suspect under the Parents Protection Act to assist the elderly woman. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, despite being on emergency duty, continued to hold open courts to address public grievances without interruption.
During the session, complaints regarding fraud, inheritance disputes, and violations of tenancy agreements were received. Faisal Kamran attentively listened to the complainants and issued immediate orders to relevant officers on the spot. In response to a citizen’s request for the arrest of a proclaimed offender absconding since 2016 in another province, a team was formed under the supervision of SHO Shafiqabad. Similarly, DSP Gujjarpura was directed to conduct an immediate inquiry, with a female officer present, into a reported incident of violence against a woman. DIG Operations emphasised that violence, bullying, and coercion will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He stated that Police must ensure lawbreakers are brought to justice. He also urged citizens to directly approach his office with any complaints and report suspicious activities to the police for the elimination of crime.
