MPA visits domestic violence victim

LAHORE:On the special directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Chairperson of Punjab Women Protection Authority and MPA, Hina Parvez Butt, visited the victim of domestic violence Sehr in Baghbanpura. According to the FIR filed by the victim, Sehr accused her husband Ali Manzoor Chaudhry, brother-in-law Hassan Manzoor, and sister-in-law Amna Manzoor of severe physical abuse.

The complaint includes allegations of physical assault, tearing of clothes, strangulation, and death threats. The FIR also states that the accused brutally assaulted her in front of her children after she allegedly refused to hand over her jewellery, leaving her semi-conscious and humiliated. During her visit, Hina Parvez Butt assured the victim of full justice and announced that the primary accused, Ali Manzoor Chaudhry, was arrested. She added that police raids were under way to apprehend the remaining accused, Hassan Manzoor and Amna Manzoor. She also directed the police to ensure all perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice.
