Nine die on road in 24 hours

LAHORE:The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,167 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, nine people died, whereas 1,367 were injured. Out of these, 600 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 767 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.

Motorcycle thief gang busted

Shad Bagh police Friday arrested a four-member gang involved in a motorcycle theft. The police detained accused Adil, Usman, Shehbaz, and Ayesha Bibi, who used master keys to steal motorcycles parked in streets and marketplaces.

Police recovered five motorcycles, 6 mobile phones, cash, weapons, and master keys from the suspects. Similarly, police from the L-Block check post in Satu Katla arrested a drug peddler identified as Rafiq and recovered 1,000 gram crystal. Harbanspura Police detained a kite seller.
