LAHORE: A drug peddler allegedly shot himself in the leg and accused his father-in-law of the attacking him in Lahore's Misri Shah. The suspect, identified as Waqar, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and was shifted to hospital. According to police spokesperson, Waqar initially claimed his father-in-law was responsible for the shooting. However, investigators found his account suspicious. ‘Waqar has a documented history of drug peddling and a registered domestic violence case filed by his wife,’ the spokesperson revealed. The circumstances suggest this may have been a staged incident. Forensic teams have examined the scene while Waqar remains under medical supervision.
